Yay! I am back!

I am back after almost a 2 week hiatus due to the Macbook being out of commission, due to a husky eating my power adapter.

Lots have gone on the past week or so!
Here is the short version :)

i got my lips done
i met Elvis Trooper
hung out with chewy and the cutest princess leia
saw darth vader doing some shopping (who knew?)
let r2d2 know that obie-wan kenobi was my only hope
then realized that elvis tropper was a poser and met the real storm troopers

after i got in all my star wars fantasies
i went to the bridal shower
for my bestest friend
whose wedding i am in on nov 14th
she was lovely
and i am so glad that she calls me her friend too
then on oct. 25th was my boy's 30th birthday
and i surprised him with dinner not with just a couple of friends
but with about 20 friends!!
he was surprised and didn't understand at first
what was going on!
then on friday i hung out with my favorite "gangsters"
then was saved and brought to the good side by an angel!
whew! what a crazy week!
but before turning myself into a beauty from the 20's...i accidently cut my bangs..
thinking it was the wig!
no more scissors to my hair for a while!

a day in the life...postponed

so i started "a day in the life" today, because I actually forgot to do it yesterday. but right not i am without "my" laptop, because of no power cord.

so i will probably just start it once I have my laptop. i feel lost without it. i still have my work computer but can't put any programs or anything on it...so it is a boring "does what it needs to" laptop.

so i will probably start next monday.

Today my sweetie turns 30!! I just wanted to wish him a quick happy birthday!! I am so lucky to have you by my side, everyday! You are my rock and have grown so much as a person since I have known you! I love you and hope you have a fabulous birthday!! Love, Kim

a week in the life

Vivs sent me an e-mail today, stating that she is going to be doing Ali Edwards "A Week in the Life". I am going to give it a try starting Monday and would love for anyone of you to also do it with me. This documents the everyday tasks that you might over look and someday will look back and see what you did in that one week. Life rapidly changes every day, every week, every year so to document this...it monumental.

weekend outings

yesterday, we went to our local pumpkin patch that is down the street. i love this patch, because it isn't crazy busy like the bigs one a little north of us. nothing crazy, just pumpkins everwhere and at reasonable prices.

then kaitlyn and i went and saw Where the Wild Things are. It was amazing, moving, inspiring and sad...i totally cried my eyes out at the end. it was amazing the artistry that was put into the monsters. KW was my favorite, very sweet, very mellow natured, very easy to relate to.

hello fall

yesterday it was a balmy 80 degrees, rain moved in last night and today is 55. gotta love TX weather!!

i have been under the weather for the last couple of days and will be glad to have insurance again so i can go to the dr. and find out why my stomach hates me.

i have ate crackers, toast and cup of noodles today and my stomach still makes me feel nauseous after eating.

i finally decided to try and get out of the house and was going to go and get dog food. well some of you might know that i suffer from anxiety and panic disorder. some days i am totally fine, while others are not so good...today i made it down the street and turned back around.

i know that when i do that, that means i need to do something to break my cycle or else i will not leave the house and make excuses not to. i can not live that way and tomorrow i have to go hang out with total strangers at the Urban Street Bazaar down in Bishop Art District tomorrow morning, cause i have volunteered. i am super excited, yet deathly nervous to go.

anyways, even with the bibble babble about my anxiety...i ended up coming home and took my baby lucy for a walk and found this awesome intact acorn! SCORE!! i love fall and wish i could turn my house into an autumn wonderland, but with being on a budget it is tough. no new toys or decorations. oh well. i will proudly place my acorn on a shelf.

Ornament Swap - Sign Up Closed!!

Hey lovely friends!!

Look what is just around the corner!!

I have decided to host a ornament swap. I totally love handmade ornaments and love decorating my Christmas tree with lovely things my friends have made!

SOOOO... Make an handmade ornament for each participant of the swap, you can personalize, you can sew, you can make it out of paper, you can do whatever you would like!!

The idea is just about the same of the past craft swap hostesses Janel and Jamie!

Here are the fine details:

*Leave me a comment on this post with your e-mail address and if you are interested or e-mail me at kimistarr@gmail.com.

*I will close sign-ups on October 10th, 11:59 CST - CLOSED!

*I will post the list of the participates on Sunday, Oct. 11th and will send an e-mail to all the participants with my mailing address.

*You will make 1 ornament for each participant in the swap, so if there are 15 participants, you will make 15 of one ornanment (you will get one back also).

*Please also include at least $5 for shipping and handling to get the packages back to you.

*Swap items will need to be sent to me by December 1st and I will get packages sent back out on December 5th. To unsure delivery before Christmas, if it is not received by that time I will have to take you out of the swap (unless there has been communication between us before that date that they will be late).

If you would like to include a small present also for each participant you totally can, but make sure to wrap it!

I am super excited to host this swap and hope to bring out the Holiday Spirit between my wonderful friends that I truly cherish!
