thank heaven it is friday!! what a week this has been...going garage saleing tomorrow, so sitting here looking up some good ones!! not much else on this end!!

will be honest

haven't felt like blogging. haven't been feeling good again and have been concentrating on getting stuff done around the house. got through some of my magazines...finally! lots of new recipes to try. here is a few images from diorama-o-rama on saturday. these are taken with my macro lens that i absolutely love!! hope you had a wonderful weekend.



also, i would like to welcome to the world Kenzi Maria! She was born on Saturday, May 23rd @ 6:33 am to my wonderful cousin Rachael and her husband Matt! Isn't she cute! I get to go up to OKC in a couple of weeks and hopefully take some pictures of her and to love on her! *sorry, pics were stolen from the hospital pics :)

hello lovely people...i am getting this posted before anything else comes up:)
i just got this totally awesome jar from one of the xo5 girls, jenny! it contains journal prompts, quotes and wonderful sayings. plus it contains these totally awesome stars! and if you know me, you know i totally heart stars.


and then i keep seeing this prius commerical on tv, so i looked it up on youtube and found the making of it, watch all the way to the end to see the commericial. it is very inspiring and totally amazing! i wish i could have been apart of this very creative form of movement.




weekend to do list...
*fun day planned with charlie for saturday, which will contain venturing outside of dallas, driving around and hopefully taking some new pictures
*going to the diarama-a-rama - free beer and a life size diarama
*sending out all xo5 packages
*cleaning out my craft area
*put together a package for my new friend erin with scrappy stuff
*organize blogs and webpages and try out evernote
*start reading Marked
*get scentsy items all ready for my home party on wednesday.

i love me some trees!! i think they are an amazing addition to our lives. someday i hope to have a tree house, so i can be up high and talk with them personally.

at least by the time it is Friday, it will!

Last night I didn't sleep good, but still woke up at 5 am to go to the gym. I hate 5 am for that reason now.

So today has been a sleepy day and think I will try and take a nap when I get home, if the dogs let me.

But thought I would share a pic I pulled off my camera from Puppyland!! Can I keep her?? I only wish! But she was so so so cute!

Will try and blog again later, something with more substance.

The Spark - May Challenge - Feet

My lovely friends over at The Spark do monthly challenges, this month's challenge is Feet.
This picture is of Janel, Jari and myself at the Firehouse across the street from the RVA store. We took it in between classes...we just looked down and there was this heart in the cement. It was totally appropriate. I love these girls and so glad that I got to spend 3 wonderful days with them!!

Website Sunday

Ok, I am trying to get through and share the many websites I have come across the years. So every Sunday, I will try and feature one of these websites.



Today it is The Bread Art Project. You can have your pictures toasted into bread or create your own. Every toast that is created, they will donate $1 to Feeding America. Which helps locate food banks supply food to people who might not be able to afford it, in our own neighborhoods.

So, please go to both websites and when the chance comes, donate food to your local food banks. There are starving children right where each of us live.

Happy Mother's Day! Love you Mom!!

So, I am also going to do a journal promt from Jenny to the J!! She asked, "What have you learned from your mother. Janel also did this on her journal! While doing this, I realized that I don't remember a lot of stuff my mom taught me when I was little...so I will need to call her and discuss. What I love about my mom and grandma is that my mom is the first born of 5 children and I am the first born...of only 2. My mom is a wonderful artist and used to do charcoal drawing of mostly Native American's. I loved watching her create things! Both her and my dad are great with their hands and have always done stuff themselves. From remodeling the house, to fixing the cars, to creating art.

I love you mom and wish I was there to celebrate today with you! You are one of my best friends and I thank you every day for teaching me all of these things and more. You are the strongest, bravest, most caring person I know. I love that you are silly and slightly blond at moments, but you can always make me laugh and feel better when I am down.

These are all the reasons I am very greatful and thankful to have you as my mom!!

a little break

well since i have been home, i really have not done too much, but spend time with the boy. Well and go to the bookstore and puppyland :)

tonight we are going to go and see this movie, which the boy has been anxiously awaiting and i will go and see it cause it looks good.

This weekend me and Tamara drove 8 hours up to Springfield, MO to go to the RVA Craft Weekend and let me tell you...it was amazing!!

-Finally meeting Jari!
-Sleeping on comfy pillows
-Got to go to Big Mamma's for Vanilla Hot Chocolate

-Given crayons during our Inspiration Workshop! Yes, crayons and I colored the whole time!

-Getting to know these girls! The best Friday morning! And getting tons of ideas for the best things!

-My first glimpes of many visits that weekend of the Red Velvet Art store!




-A mini shoot with this fab girl!

-Finally getting to meet my birthday twin, Janel! Jari and I ran to her when she arrived like we have been friends forever! And that is just how it felt all weekend!

The best thing of all!! These bestest of friends a girl could ever make! I feel like I have known these girls for ages and it was only 3 days! I wish they all lived closer so that we can go thrifting, crafting and cause as much havoc as we caused in Springfield! I love them from the bottom on my heart and miss them so much!
