finally....

I have finished the new layout of the blog and finally a blog header...hope y'all love it! It is my favorite colors right now.

Here is my fun new purchase!!

One of Silje's cute knitted headbands!! I wore it out today and got a few stares...but I know cause they were jealous of the cuteocity of this thing!! I totally love it! I love the colors and how fun it is!

Last week, I went to my most excellent friend Skye's house for lunch with our friend Nic and her husband Rick. She is a designer and very artistic. I walked into her craft room and this is what I found....

umm, yeah

i am sorry i have been a little slow in posting on my blog. i get busy and this is the one thing i end up neglecting, so i am sorry all my lovely friends.

lots to do and lots of exciting things. i got my scentsy stuff in the mail yesterday and haven't even had the chance to really play with it.

i have started on my felt teepee last night and got all the parts cut out. i love them!! i wonder if they make felt in large sizes so i can make me one for the backyard. so i can lay inside of it on cloudy days and day dream of lakes and trees and springtime! i would invite all you over and we can have a picnic inside! wouldn't that be wonderful!

Color Me Happy Scrapbook

Ok...finally project 1 is complete...sort of. I started to lose inspiration when it came to the cover. I will probably add on more at a later time. But all the inside of it is done. I haven't scrapbooked in over 5 years and I remember why...I am an ultra perfectionist when it comes to it. Oh well, hopefully this class will help me with being more confidant in how I design and execute things! This is me with the finished product...I look like a bum today!

how did this happen??

i am so behind on everything right now!! I was planning on getting caught up with all the crafts from E & R's class this weekend, but that didn't happen. I just put together my "To Do" List and it is insanely long. Hopefully today I can mark some of these off my list. Let's hope!

On a brighter note...I had lunch at one of my favorite people's house yesterday. My friend Skye, who is an amazing designer. I have lots of fun pictures from her house. I offered to move into her craft room, but I think that her and her husband probably thought it was a bad idea. I will have lovely pictures up 'hopefully' this afternoon.

life is good!

This week has been a wonderful week!!

Elsie and Rachel's Spring Online class started on Sunday! I have yet to finish my first project, but here is the cover of the 'Color me Rainbow' Scrapbook!



I will try and finish it this weekend, along with getting started on the 2nd and 3rd projects...eeek! Already behind...need to play craft catchup!

Also this week, I have signed up for Scentsy! I have been really excited about this product since Thanksgiving when I saw one at my moms house. I have a couple of friends involved and decided to go for it! I will have my website up and running by next week.

And last but not least to add to this wonderful week, I just found out this afternoon that I have been selected to be apart of the Etsy Dallas Group! I applied last month and have been waiting to hear from them. I am very excited about this and this will allow me to be apart of more shows around the Dallas area.


Along with all this exciting news...I have made some of the greatest blogi friends whose creativity, inspiration and wonderful comments make everyday brighter!! Thanks to all of you who have stopped by!! I will have a list of them off to the right very soon.

I might just need to lose some sleep this weekend to work on all these great projects!!

the infamous 'captain crunch frap'

i have pictures...it doesn't just exist from a friend of a friend that had it!! i have tasted it with my own tongue and oh boy, oh boy is it Delish!!

So what you need to get this yummy drink that tastes exactly and I am talking exactly like Captain Crunch Berries cereal is...

1) Hop in your car (or truck or on your bike or use your walking legs)
2) Head down to your nearest Starbucks
3) Either drive thru for us lazy people or walk up to your friendly barista standing at the counter
4) Put on a brave face cause they might look at you weird or question your sanity
5) And ask for a Strawberries and Creme Frappicino in your size of choice and as for either 2 pumps of toffee nut or 1 pump of toffee nut and 1 pump of amaretto. That is the key...the pumps! And I am not talking 1985 red heeled PUMPS...
6) Pay your dues and patiently wait for the most amazing thing ever...and this is what you will get!!!

Here it is...heaven in a plastic, dome covered cup!

Happy Valentine's Day

To my Charlie:
I am so thankful to have you in my life everyday! I love waking up to you and going to sleep in your arms. You have made me such a happy person and have helped me through some tough times. I wouldn't be who I am today without you. Anytime that anything is ever wrong, I just need your arms to wrap around me and you tell me everything is going to be ok. I love you so much baby and thank you for coming into my life.



Happy Valentine's Day from Kaitlyn! We did this photoshoot a couple of weeks ago. As you can tell, she is missing her front teeth and it is quite funny! She loves any holiday and any photoshoot!


Along with the heart, I thought it would be funny to see if the dogs would sit still with it around their necks...I had to act quick, because it wasn't going to last very long. Here is Lucy, our pit/border collie mix. I have had her for almost 7 years and she has endured a lot of photoshoots with me!

Kai doesn't mine sitting for the camera, as long as she can have a treat afterward...or even a snuggle.
This is my friend Narissa's dog that we dog sit on occasion. We love her to death and she is a great dog. So will just smile and loves to chase anything she can chase after.

**Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. We went here last year for Charlie's niece Mackenzie's birthday and we are going again this year. This time it will be her and 6 of her friends. Keep in mind, she is turning 16!! I love this place and I love that big bucket!
